About
Twitchathon is back!
Mark your calendars for Saturday 25 – Sunday 26 October and join us for a weekend of fun, birdwatching, and conservation.

The NSW and ACT Twitchathon is a unique blend of friendly competition and community fundraising, where teams race against the clock to spot as many bird species as possible. Whether you’re a backyard birdwatcher, a first-time birder, or a seasoned twitcher, there’s a race for you: choose from 30-hour, 8-hour, or 3-hour challenges.

Last year’s Twitchathon raised over $30,000 to protect beach-nesting birds – an incredible achievement powered by the community. This year, with your help, we’re aiming even higher: let’s raise $35,000 to support vital research and conservation efforts for the Far Eastern Curlew at Port Hacking, Sydney.

Twitchathon has been running for nearly 30 years and has already funded dozens of critical bird conservation projects across NSW and the ACT. Be part of this proud tradition – form a team, join the fun, and make a real difference for our birds.
